Hardik Pandya, a versatile Indian team player and Mumbai Indians (MI) superstar, denied reports that customs officials seized his insanely expensive watches at Mumbai airport on Tuesday. The stylish Indian cricketer had a forgetful outing with the India team led by Virat Kohli during the recent ICC World T20 2021. Hardik, who is half the Pandya brothers, was also not named. in the Indian team’s white ball squad for the T20I Series against New Zealand.
According to the Mumbai Customs Department, two wristwatches (worth Rs 5 crore) of the ace cricketer were seized when the Team India superstar returned from Dubai after India’s untimely exit of the T20 World Cup. Known for showcasing his flashy lifestyle on social media, Pandya is one of the most stylish cricketers on and off the pitch.
A devoted father to his son Agastya, cricketer Hardik is also a family man who enjoys spending time with his loved ones. Pandya’s love for luxury watches is also well documented. There is no denying that the versatile Pandya is one of the highest paid Indian cricketers. According to a report filed by GQ India, Pandya’s watch collection is worth almost INR 11 crore. On August 13, Pandya flaunted her Patek Philippe Nautilus Platinum 5711 which could cost you INR 5 crore or even more. Pandya’s teammate and Indian skipper Virat Kohli also wore watches from the house of Patek Philippe.

Hardik was awarded the A-grade contract by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April. Indian players who are classified as Grade A have an annual retainer of INR 5 crore. After a successful operation, Hardik returned to the national team and the all-round star also had a successful down tour. Earlier in June 2020, Pandya uploaded a few photos after taking on the âPandya Home Chef dutiesâ. Pandya reportedly wore a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Daytona Cosmograph priced at almost 1 crore.

Another Patek Philippe from Pandya’s watch collection is the Nautilus 5712R whose custom addition is valued at around INR 1.65 crore. Dapper Hardik had unveiled his expensive watch when sharing a photo from one of his last photoshoots in October last year. Zomato’s Rahul Ganjoo previously tweeted that one of Pandya’s Patek Philippe watches had an 8-year waiting list.
When the customs department at Mumbai Airport called Pandya for his two wristwatches which are allegedly worth 5 crore rupees, the Indian cricketer assured Twitterati that one of his luxury watches was priced at 1.5 crore INR. âThe cost of the watch is around Rs 1.5 crore and not Rs 5 crore according to rumors circulating on social networks,â Pandya tweeted on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has appeared in 11 tests, 63 one-day internationals (ODI) and 54 T20Is for the Indian team.
