A major operation was carried out in different locations in Dublin and Kildare, during which luxury watches, BMWs and cash were seized.
The Criminal Assets Bureau CAB conducted the search operation on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
It was carried out by Bureau officers and supported by the Emergency Response Unit, Garda National Drugs and Organized Crime Bureau, Tallaght District Drugs Unit, Tallaght District Drugs Unit of Naas, the Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit and the Customs Dog Unit.

The operation involved searches at five locations, including residential and business addresses.
Following an investigation, three bank accounts containing funds of €340,000 were identified and blocked during the operation.
In addition to this, the following items were also seized by officers:
- 212 Registration BMW X6
- 141 Registration BMW X5
- Breitling watch
- Two Armani watches
- Electronic devices and documents were also seized during the search operation.
A spokesperson confirmed that “this morning’s search operation was conducted as part of a CAB proceeds of crime investigation into the assets accumulated by an individual linked to an organized crime group of Eastern Europe (OCG) involved in drug trafficking.
“Today’s operation marks a significant development in CAB’s ongoing proceeds of crime investigation.”
